Mari Hauge is a captivating artist and songwriter from Stavanger, Norway celebrated for her extraordinary ability to connect with audiences. With a distinctive sound and powerful storytelling, she combines musical depth with warmth and humor — delivering performances that leave a lasting impression.
In 2025, Mari released her second solo album, hjerta går sin egen vei (“the heart follows its own path”) inspired by her grandfather, author Alfred Hauge's novels on the first Norwegian emigrants to America. It received glowing reviews and 5-star ratings, following several successful singles featured on NRK. Her previous releases — the Christmas albums himler fulle av stjerner dog å se (2024) and stilt under stjernetjeld (2023) — also received 5-star reviews from Stavanger Aftenblad and earned international critical acclaim.
Over the past few years, Mari has been awarded grants from the Fund for Performing Artists, the Songwriters’ Fund, and received cultural scholarships from both Stavanger Municipality and Rogaland County. She has also been granted several artist residencies in France and England, where she has worked as both a lyricist and composer.
Mari performs regularly and collaborates with a number of award-winning artists, songwriters, and producers.
In 2025/2026 she is touring across Norway and
the United States.
